In Jonah chapter one Jonah runs away from God, but the Lord sends a storm to get his attention.
When I was 27 years old a drunk driver broadsided me at 70 mph. Through a miracle of the Lord I was not hurt, but the Lord did get my attention. Through this the Lord was asking me some questions; what was I doing with my life? Was I living my life just for myself? The answer to those questions was life was all about me. Maybe you are there today. The good news was the Lord awakened me out my slumber to refocus on his plans for my life not mine. I called my older brother the evening of the accident and said, “I guess the Lord is not done with me yet.”
Maybe you have had a similar experience where the divine intruder (God) broke into your life to get your attention? Or maybe the Lord is breaking into your life right now asking you the same questions he asked me. What are you doing with your life? Are you living your life just for yourself? The good news is we can repent of our sins and ask the Lord to forgive us. What is the next step? Pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you His plans for your life. These are just the type of prayers our Lord loves to hear from His Children.
