Jesus Experiences

Jesus experiences with us are both fantastic and a great blessing. Not long ago, my wife and I were at a home improvement store where a store clerk was assisting us. During our conversation, the woman indicated she had arthritis in her hands. My wife, prompted by the Holy Spirit, asked if we could pray for her, and as we prayed, tears swelled in her eyes. When we finished praying, she humbly walked away, unable to speak.

The woman had an encounter with Jesus, showing He truly cared about her condition. This is what the Lord does in our life. In times when we least expect it or think the Lord has forgotten about us, He shows up and rocks our world.

The women Experience an Angel and Jesus

As the women went to the tomb that Resurrection Sunday, they were prepared to anoint Jesus’ dead body with spices. As they walked along, they did not know how to get into the tomb as it had a stone in front of the opening. But their faith propelled them forward; they were surprised by an angel sitting on the stone that he easily rolled away. Their eyes must have been as large as saucers as they saw the angel in a dazzling white robe. The angel told the women to look in the tomb, showing them Jesus had risen. Then, the angel gave them instructions.

Matthew 28:And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to give the disciples the angel’s message. And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”[1]

We Can Still Experience Jesus

Jesus gives us the gift of experiencing Him. It is a gift and not something we can earn. We encounter Jesus because He longs for us to be in a relationship with Him, not because we are better than the next person. The Lord encounters us because of His grace, which is His undeserved love for us.

Our heavenly Father’s greatest desire is for His children to have a personal relationship with Him. Our Lord is excited to reveal Himself to you as we journey through life. We bring joy to His heart when we experience His love because He loves us more than we know. To learn more about Jesus experiences, listen here:
