The Light of Christ Journey

Encouraging people on their journey with Christ

The Living... — Romans 10:15 (NLT) - And how will anyone go and...

What If you kept quiet about something and in doing so affected someone in an adverse way? How would you feel if you were the person affected? You would wonder why the other person didn’t care enough to say something.

During the reign of Queen Esther, there was an evil plan to kill all the Jews in the Medo-Persian Empire. Queen Esther was also a Jew and was in the perfect place to have an influence in saving her people, but to do so she had to speak to the King. But the king had not called for her and if she initiated a meeting, she risked the wrath of the king and death. Esther 4:11 “All the king’s officials and even the people in the provinces know that anyone who appears before the king in his inner court without being invited is doomed to die unless the king holds out his gold scepter. And the king has not called for me to come to him for thirty days.”[1]The good news is the Queen put her fears aside and spoke to the King.  God answered her prayers and the King received her. As a result, the Jewish people would be saved from genocide.

The Lord wants to work through you to share the good news of Jesus with others! Wow, what a privilege. Who shared the good news of Jesus with you? How did that change your life? John 3:16 gives us insight into the importance of knowing Jesus as our Savior. 16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. [2] We can’t have faith if no one ever tells us about the Good News of Jesus.

When you begin to look at things in that perspective, it gives you courage to share the good news of Jesus with others. We can be confident that we may not know what to say, but the Holy Spirit working in us will give us the words. The Holy Spirit will bring the right Bible verse to our heart and the right timing to share His message. We just need to be obedient vessels willing to be used by the Lord.

Paul writes about the blessings of sharing the good news of Jesus. Romans 10:14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” [3]

Who is the Lord placing on your heart to share His good news with?
