Knowing that the Lord is with us is one of the most significant blessings we can receive. We have a fantastic gift when the Lord works on our behalf daily. When no one seems to understand what you are going through, the Lord is always with you, no matter where you are.
Recently the people of the world have endured much with a contagious virus and its effects. This virus has resulted in many people suffering from increased stress and mental health issues. You may be experiencing such challenges. During all this, as people of faith, we can find peace in the storm. Our problems may not disappear, but we can cling to our Savior. John 16:33 I (Jesus) have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart because I have overcome the world. [1]
God was with Joseph
Joseph had been sold into slavery by his brothers and was now an enslaved person in the Egyptian household of Potiphar, an Egyptian officer. As Joseph navigated this situation, something made him different from those around him. That difference was his relationship with the Lord. Genesis 39: 2 The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. 3 Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. [2]
As Joseph focused on his relationship with the Lord, he experienced the fruit of being a child of God. When we know the Lord is with us, we can greet each new day with a smile and joy in our hearts. The Lord is good to us because He brings good out of bad situations.
Jesus is with Each Person of Faith
If you have placed your faith in Jesus as your Savior, the Lord also dwells within you. If you have not taken that step, the Lord is calling you today to confess your sins and place your faith in Jesus. When the Holy Spirit lives in us, He guides, strengthens, encourages, convicts us of sin, and comforts us along our journey of life. Just as a global positioning system (GPS) gives us guidance and peace as we travel, knowing the Lord is always with us provides even greater assurance.
As a parent, there will come a day when we depart from this world, and we will no longer be able to interact with and advise our children. But our Lord, who lives in us, will never leave us. Romans 8:39No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. [3]
