The Light of Christ Journey

Encouraging people on their journey with Christ

Each person is valuable to the Lord, and when the Gospel is presented, even a few are worth the effort. I met an older lady who had been in an orphanage as a child, and when she was ten years old, God intervened in her life. As a child, she felt unloved until she met Jesus. A college was nearby, and a couple of students came and shared the good news of Jesus with the children in the orphanage. She

invited Jesus into her life that day, changing her forever. As an adult, she would spend her entire life in ministry, caring for people and reaching people with the good news of Jesus. Who shared the message of Jesus with you? How has the Lord changed your life?

Every Person has Great Value to the Lord

Before the world’s creation, the Lord knew humankind would fall into sin, but God planned to rescue us. Ephesians 1: Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.[1] This rescue required Jesus to come to this earth to die on the cross for our sins. He would be our substitute. The Lord gave his life for you because you are His great treasure.

Jesus Would Send People to Tell Others About Him

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He told the disciples how important it was to tell others about Him. Matthew 28:19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.[2] On Paul’s second missionary, he visits Athens to tell them about Jesus. Although the message of the Gospel was not well received, some softened their hearts.

Acts 17:32 When they heard Paul speak about the resurrection of the dead, some laughed in contempt, but others said, “We want to hear more about this later.” 33 That ended Paul’s discussion with them, 34 but some joined him and became believers. Among them were Dionysius, a member of the council, a woman named Damaris, and others with them. [3] Dionysius and Damaris’ hearts were open to Jesus, and the seeds of the Gospel fell on the good ground of their hearts. However, the Lord reached you, remember, you were worth it. Also, remember your response blessed the person who reached you.
