In the world in which we live, the enemy likes to make us believe that God is not at work around us. The whole idea is to discourage us because our enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. Elijah, the prophet, thought he was the only one who had not bowed his knee to the false idol Baal. Elijah believed the lies of the enemy and in doing so became more discouraged along his spiritual journey. But was this reality?
Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and all whose mouths have not kissed him.” 1 Kings 19:18
Do you need to be encouraged today? Are you falling into the false traps of the enemy? Look up to the Lord, which takes the focus off yourself. What is the Lord showing you?
