The Light of Christ Journey

Encouraging people on their journey with Christ

Today’s Scripture & Insight: Acts 2:38

As a child, I remember receiving Christmas gifts was one of the most exciting times of the year. It was a time of anticipation and joy in receiving something that was special. As I became a little older, I began to understand that the real gift at Christmas time was the gift of Jesus coming into the world.

Have you received the gift of Jesus? If you have not, simply ask Jesus to forgive your sins and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. If you are a follower of Jesus already, it is a time to rejoice in what Jesus has done for you.

When we place our faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit takes up residence in us. Peter said on the day of Pentecost, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. [1] Acts 2:38

Jesus loves you and gives you the gift of the Holy Spirt to guide and transform you. This is a gift that keeps on giving all the days of our life.

In our “Journey with Guest” interview, Mike Bradley noticed when he became a believer in Jesus, the Holy Spirit began prompt him. These promptings from the Holy Spirit were like a good teacher who was always there 24-7 to help him, guide him, comfort him, and give him insight into God’s word.

What a wonderful gift the Holy Spirit is!
