Not a day goes by where the Lord does not provide for the air we breathe, food, housing, water, clothing etc. Most importantly, the Lord has provided a Savior for us who is Jesus Christ. All those who place their faith in Jesus have eternal life.
In addition, the Apostle Paul writes in Col. 1:17, “He (Jesus) existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.”[1] All scientific laws were created by God and as the above verse says all things hold together because of God Himself. Wow! When you begin to realize all that God is doing in our everyday life you begin to realize that He is God and we are not.
In our story of Moses in the Hebrews you see the Lord is their provider as the Lord provides food for the them in a supernatural way.
The food that God provided would later be called mana or bread from heaven. Exodus 16:17 So the people of Israel did as they were told. Some gathered a lot, some only a little. 18 But when they measured it out, everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed. [2]
In the spring of the year, farmers all over the world plan seeds in the ground to grow our food. God provides the soil, makes the seeds possible, provides for water to grow, and in supernatural sense, enables the seed to sprout and grow. Most of the time we forget and take for granted how much God does every day.
