Have you ever asked the Lord for wisdom or guidance to make a decision? Many times, in life we come to a crossroads and don’t know which way to go. Each road seems to be similar. Maybe you are at a crossroads today or have been at one in the past. As I look back at my life, I have made some bad choices because I did not take time to ask God for directions. Maybe you have done the same thing.
In James 1:5-8 it says, “ If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.” [1]
The Lord wants to encourage you today to remember to call on Him in prayer for wisdom even the little things in life. God knows what you should do and the path you are to be on. When we seek the Lord, He will begin to transform your life.
What do you need the Lord’s wisdom for as you seek Him today?
