- Today’s Scripture & Insight: Eph. 2:10
If we wonder if God has a plan for our life, we only need to turn to the Scriptures. We read in Psalm 139:14-16 about God’s amazing plan for our life. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. [1]
Think about how unique you are. No one has the same genetic makeup you have. You were born on a certain day, in a certain place, with just the right color of eyes, hair and skin. There is not a second of any day the Lord is not thinking about you. The Lord has a plan for your life that is beyond anything you can hope or imagine.
God also had a plan for baby Moses. Moses had been set adrift in the Nile River by his mother in hopes that the Lord would rescue him. 5 Then Pharaoh’s daughter went down to the Nile to bathe, and her attendants were walking along the riverbank. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her slave girl to get it. 6 She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. “This is one of the Hebrew babies,” she said. 7 Then his sister asked Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and get one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?” 8 “Yes, go,” she answered. And the girl went and got the baby’s mother. 9 Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this baby and nurse him for me, and I will pay you.” So, the woman took the baby and nursed him.[2] Exodus 2:5-9
God also has a plan for you! He has a plan for you despite the pandemic times. The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 2:10, For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. [3] As we seek the Lord, He reveals His plan for our life.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”[4] It is never too late to begin to pray and seek the Lord’s plan for your life!
