The Light of Christ Journey

Encouraging people on their journey with Christ

Will you surrender to Jesus today? Is Jesus calling you to submit to Him in a more profound way to fulfill His plans for you? An acquaintance was dying after being bitten by a poisonous jellyfish when the Lord powerfully came to him, asking him to surrender. With the Lord’s help, he forgave those who wronged him in his life. Slowly this young man began to submit to the Lord, resulting in renewed faith and physical healing.

After this incident, the Lord placed him on a new path where he would travel the world telling others about the Good News of Jesus. Thousands of people have come to faith as he has shared this fantastic testimony, and it all began with the act of surrender. The Lord wants to do the same for you today!

Judas Hardened His Heart toward Jesus

Judas traveled with Jesus for three years, observing the Lord’s ministry. He saw the compassion of Jesus, healings, acts of forgiveness, and the power of God. Jesus personally took Judas in as a disciple to mold and shape him to make a difference in the Kingdom of God.

Yet, through all this, Judas refused to surrender to Jesus fully and fell into the trap of betraying Him. During the last Supper, Jesus gave Judas one more opportunity to submit. Jesus also comes to us, calling us back when we have strayed from the path because He loves us so much.

In God’s Mercy, He gives Judas a Stern Warning

In God’s love, mercy, and grace, Jesus gave Judas a stern warning about the consequences of his decision. How would his life on earth and eternity be different if he had heeded the Lord’s warning?

Mark 14:18 As they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, one of you eating with me here will betray me.” 19 Greatly distressed, each one asked in turn, “Am I the one?” 20 He replied, “It is one of you twelve who is eating from this bowl with me. 21 For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if he had never been born!” [1]

Surrendering to Jesus Transforms my Life

As we surrender to the Lord, He begins a lifelong process of molding us and shaping us into the people He wants us to be. Having the Lord refine us along our spiritual journey is a privilege.

Isaiah 65:And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand. [2] Only the Lord has a vision of what He wants us to be about, and as we fully surrender to Him, He fulfills our dreams in ways we would never imagine.
