God, the creator, is evident wherever we set our eyes. Recently our son and wife had a baby girl, which testifies we have a fantastic creator. I am always amazed at how wonderful God is when I look at newborn infants and all their features. If you have ever created something, it takes time and thought. With God, it is no different.
The intelligent design of a creator is found in everything the Lord has made. Each evening, the stars in the night sky display the Lord’s majesty and power. Isaiah 40:26 Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. [1] Where is the Lord revealing himself to you as you look around creation? What does this tell us about God?
God Created the Heavens and the Earth
As you open the first verse of the Bible, the Lord reveals Himself as the creator. Genesis 1:1In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.[2] The Lord wants to show Himself to us in His creation and word because He wants to have a relationship with us. His creation shows us His power, majesty, and might, while His word reveals His love for us beyond our imagination. His word tells us that Lord put great thought into your creation.
Psalm 139:16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. [3] Long before you conceived, the Lord knew all the details of your life and placed you in the world at just the right time.
The Creator Draws us to Faith
Our Lord created us with a detailed plan for our lives. We must interact with the Lord for His plan to be revealed. The work of the Holy Spirit draws us to faith because we can’t do this on our own. John 6:44 For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up.[4]
As we respond to the work of the Holy Spirit, the Lord creates faith in us. I marvel that the Lord is constantly creating, including faith. Every aspect of our life is a connection between the creator and us. The Lord is all about creating and giving, including sending His Son Jesus into this world to rescue us from sin. John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.[5] Thank you, Lord!
