God rewards those who seek Him. The Lord blesses everyone who reaches out to Him no matter the situation. Hebrew 11:6And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. [1]
It takes a humble heart to seek the Lord. One must realize they don’t have the answers but God does. Perhaps you are in a situation where the Holy Spirit is prompting you to seek the Lord for what is happening in your life.
As the story of Cornelius unfolds, we see God has been at work in his life. Cornelius was a Roman captain of the Italian Regiment, but the God of Israel had conquered his heart. Cornelius put his faith into action by giving to people experiencing poverty. Also, Jews regarded him as showing respect to them and their God.
Seeking the Lord Begins with Him
We sometimes think that seeking God begins with us, but it starts with God. God had put Cornelius in a post in Israel for a reason. Over time, God shaped his life so that he knew the one true God. Whatever beliefs he had in the past were stripped away as the Lord began to transform his life.
Acts 10:2 He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God.[2] Cornelius was a man of influence, and as he learned about the one true God, he passed along what he knew to his household. By the actions of one man, an entire household was seeking the Lord.
The Lord Loves When We Seek Him
God knows our hearts as we earnestly seek Him. As Cornelius prayed, God knew his heart was open to more, and He sent an angel to him with a message. Our heavenly Father wants you to seek and know Him and have a personal relationship with Him. It is His greatest desire for you to be a person of faith.
When we seek the Lord with all our hearts, the windows of heaven will open, and we will be blessed. Blessings the Lord gives us are not gold or silver but a relationship with Him that transforms us so we can impact those around us. Romans 12:2Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then, you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. [3] As we seek the Lord, He transforms us, unfolding His plan for our lives.
