Our enemy ignores the resurrection, but the truth can’t be hidden. When Jesus rose from the dead, it changed everything and impacted every person. The resurrection of Jesus is the center of the Christian faith and the truth we stand on. Through the resurrection of Jesus, the power of God was evident to everyone.
Death could not hold Jesus and will not hold anyone who places their faith in Him. This is why the enemy works so hard to deceive people. Paul tells us that many people saw Jesus after His resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:6 After that, He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.[1] As believers, we can be confident in the Lord and His Word. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the spiritually blind wake to the good news of Jesus. The good news of Jesus is His life, death, and resurrection to save humanity from their sins. How has Jesus changed your life?
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
Since Adam and Eve encountered the serpent in the Garden of Eden, the enemy has continually used deception against God’s children. Jesus inspires us with the truth that He is the only way to heaven, in Him is the truth, and when we are connected to Him, we have life. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.[2]
In this cosmic battle between good and evil, the enemy attempted to obscure the resurrection. But that does not stop the truth from going out and changing lives. Matthew 28:11 Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened. 12 When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, 13 saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’ 14 And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.” 15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.[3]
God Sent the Holy Spirit
In this battle of truth, the words Jesus spoke about the coming of the Holy Spirit take on a refreshed meaning. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.[4] The resurrection is real. Jesus is alive. Praise the Lord!
